Sharing something God spoke to me last night... Maybe it's for you too...
I sat on my bed, knees up, with a book propped on them. I noticed one leg has noticably more muscle than the other. Almost everyone has small differences between legs, but this was more significant. The smaller one is the same leg as a knee injury from 2009. I don't have any restriction of motion from the injury, and - in fact- the doctor had told me that, now repaired, it will actually be harder to injure than my other knee. I teach a muscular endurance class, and each leg gets equal weight and equal reps. But it's still smaller. As I wondered on this God spoke to me this spiritual parable about our muscles of faith after spiritual wounds... Hear these words from God in your own life... Is this for you too?
"You need to have faith in the healing. You need to have faith in our strength. You have been completly healed. Stronger even than before you were hurt. It's only for fear of an injury happening again that you compensate in building your strength by doing more comfortable things. What I'm calling you through may not be comfortable, but I am your SHEPHERD. I will NEVER call you into something for your harm. Where My voice calls you there is victory and awestruck wonder.
It's time again to push those faith muscles. To believe that the future won't look like the past. To discover how much strength I have given you and how much I have truly healed you. You will find that it is only BELIEVING that we together are not strong enough that prevents you from building strength."
"Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead," Philippians 3:13
"I can do all this through him who gives me strength."
