Vultures of Victory

God's been showing me circling vultures. You may be wondering (especially if you've been seeing this too) how this could possibly be an encouragement from God. Well, pick up your hopes again because here is why: Many of you have just gone through or are going through a season in which you've had to die to self in a whole new way. That thing you had planned, that person that occupied your thoughts and time, that wait that you wish you could speed up-- these are just some of the things that you have willfully and obediently laid down. Even when it was hard. Even when it didn't make sense. You still haven't seen the final "answer" or final redemption of these things. You acted in obedience and have been waiting. The vultures start circling spiritually. The enemy whispers that it's your dreams that are dead or that it's your hope or your future that's ruined. The truth is he's just trying to mask what's really happening: the ONLY thing that has died is your old self. That means the enemies traps for you died along with it! The things he used to get you on and tempt you with have LOST THEIR POWER through your act of obedience. There may be a word spoken right now by doctors or the world or the enemy that you are destined for defeat or death. You may be thinking “this looks hopeless” or “this is a bad sign”. What the world and enemy forget is the way death ends for God... RESURRECTION. These very areas where death is being spoken- the areas that look hopeless and the vultures are circling- are the areas that God is setting the stage for a resurrection! Wait confidently, knowing you haven't seen the end of what God is writing now in your situation and that God is not the author of death and defeat but the author of new life-giving resurrection power! The last hope of the enemy has died in your life, and you are about to rise in His resurrection strength in a whole new way. Where the enemy is saying it’s all over...it’s just about to begin. “Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.” John 12:24
