Perfect Timing is Coming

"After forty days Noah opened a window he had made in the ark and sent out a raven, and it kept flying back and forth until the water had dried up from the earth. Then he sent out a dove to see if the water had receded from the surface of the ground. But the dove could find nowhere to perch because there was water over all the surface of the earth; so it returned to Noah in the ark. He reached out his hand and took the dove and brought it back to himself in the ark. He waited seven more days and again sent out the dove from the ark. When the dove returned to him in the evening, there in its beak was a freshly plucked olive leaf! Then Noah knew that the water had receded from the earth. He waited seven more days and sent the dove out again, but this time it did not return to him." Genesis 8:6-12 Can anyone relate? You've waited on God's timing, ready for the promised end. Noah had already waited over a month in the ark before even sending out a Raven. No luck. He changes his approach and sends out a dove, hoping to finally open the door to new land. Imagine the sinking feeling in his stomach as he had to take the dove back into the ark. Not time yet. Two more times it took before the sign came that it was time to advance. This purposeful waiting took two things: 1. Inquiring of the Lord- sending out the bird as a question of "is it time yet?" 2. Encouragement to TRY AGAIN even when it wasn't time yet God has put someone in my heart that has waited and tried time and time again, waiting for God's open door to that promised end. Don't give up sending up the question of "is it time yet?"- even though past "no"s have made you weary. Noah did not change his approach after the second try. But the answers did change. There is nothing you're required to "do" differently to MAKE God's timing happen- just patiently ask and wait on His timing. He wants to give you GOOD land. He wants the flood waters to recede completely. He wants GOOD for you. But do not give up in the waiting. Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up QUICKLY, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. Matthew 13:3-8 My husband pointed out this one simple word that seems to blend in so well in this parable. Sometimes waiting feels like it's not working or not happening when in reality in the spiritual, sometimes (with exceptions of course) those things that spring up instantly do not have deep roots. God is growing something durable. His timing is establishing it's foundation. It's worth it. “Even the stork in the sky knows her appointed seasons, and the dove, the swift and the thrush observe the time of their migration. But my people do not know the requirements of the Lord.” ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭8:7‬ ‭NIV‬‬ God is encouraging you if you're feeling the weight of the wait that there is nothing you are needing to "do" or are "doing wrong". He just knows the seasons and requirements for this to go successfully- requirements that you may not know!! Hold on to hope and keep seeking! Keep sending out the dove by saying "Lord is it now? Do I go now?". Noah had no warning before his success...it just came. Your answer is coming too. You may feel like: “We hoped for peace but no good has come, for a time of healing but there is only terror.” ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭8:15‬ ‭NIV‬‬ You are just a dove away from the timing you've been waiting for. Don't let the discouragement of the enemy keep you in the ark forever. Send out the dove one more time. A whole new world awaits for you to step into IN HIS TIMING and with His perfect preparation.
