Step Out Into Grace

Yesterday I felt the Lord whisper to me, "Time to take off the training wheels." Immediately I got the impression that there are things that God is ready to take to the next level. He is saying "You are ready. You have practiced. I know it's scary to do things differently. It feels wobbly and insecure, but My hand steadies you. My grace strengthens your ankles." In the natural I've been asked to pray for an unusual amount of ANKLES. Almost every prayer request has been for ankle pain. I immediately got the image of hiking or strenuous climbing and the ache of ankle muscles as they strive to steady the body on the rocky climb. There is a certain BALANCE God is teaching now... Just as one needs balance at a great height or in riding without training wheels. "You widen [a place] beneath me for my steps, and my ankles do not give way." 2 Sam 22:37 "Then, taking him by the right hand he raised him up, and at once his feet and ankles became strong." Acts 3:7 One of the words for strength or strengthen in Hebrew is omets which is reference 555 in Strong's Concordance. I have been seeing repreating 5's with increasing frequency. It's also the 5th month in our modern calendar. This morning 5 showed up again in my Bible reading in 1 Samuel 17 when David chose 5 stones to take down Goliath after refusing the armor of the king. I heard God say, "Do not fear your weakness, for it is an opportunity to show My strength. You stepping out with 5 stones instead of armor is stepping INTO my grace. You will do things your strength never could as I strengthen you, but what it requires is you trying. You saying yes to taking off the training wheels. You saying yes to this new level. You saying yes to facing the giant and knowing that for every yes you give there is a WE behind it. You do nothing alone. Step into grace that I have destined for you since you were born, child."
