One Step

"Take one step in the direction of your hope" The time has come or is rapidly approaching for many where you will need to take a step- even a small step- in the direction of your hopes EVEN IN THE ABSENCE OF ALL THE ANSWERS. Some of you have experienced in the natural sleeplessness or sleepiness- either being unable to sleep to a degree that is unusual for you or desiring to sleep more/having a harder time waking up more often than is usual for you. Hear God say, "RESIST THE TEMPTATION TO SPIRITUALLY SLEEP! There is a resting in My arms that comes in the form of peace, but it does not look like autopilot!" Due to various reasons (time, weariness, attacks, etc), many have thrown up their hands in this season saying "I don't know what God's doing! I don't know if I can hope any more! If something is meant for me, God will do it in my life, but until then I'm going to stop thinking about it." God IS doing something only He can do- by HIS power alone- that part is correct. But someone desperately needs to hear that YOUR READINESS AND RESPONSE to what He is doing requires you to be spiritually awake. To keep listening for those words from Him. To position yourself according to your hope. Even when you feel like hoping is too dangerous or painful. You may think, "why does it matter if I am aware of what He is doing if it isn't happening yet?" I have an image God dropped into my mind of God tossing you a ball. If you are asleep, it doesn't change Him tossing the ball. It DOES however change your readiness to catch it or quickly and effectively respond. EXPECTATION is EVERYTHING because it determines your positioning. If this is you- if you're feeling that tug on your heart- take a step towards hope. A step in that direction that you feel called in that seems impossible. "And he came to the disciples and found them sleeping. And he said to Peter, 'So, could you not watch with me one hour'?" Matthew 26:40 ESV "And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love." Romans 5:5 NLT "So let's not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up." Gal 6:9 NLT
