Did God Really Say?

God whispers "Beloved, what's built on Earth is started in heaven- built with stones of prayer in the secret place. Let go of all that doesn't matter as you listen to My secret language in the secret place. Let go of 'Did God really say?', and let Me remind you in the place of our intimate prayer time what I really say..." 40 days of wilderness for Jesus. 40 days of water for Noah. The tactics of the enemy were likely similar... "Did God REALLY say...?". While it's not recorded, I can imagine Noah wondering at least a few times "is this really going to happen? Did God really say He'd save me? Was it metaphorical? Did I hear wrong?". Jesus- without sin- is our perfect model and responds to this actively by clinging to GODS WORD. 40 days is a long time. Psychologically, the mind adapts to new habits as quickly as 3 weeks. Almost double that was surely becoming their "new normal". HEAR THIS. THE FLOOD IS NOT YOUR NEW NORMAL. THE WILDERNESS IS NOT YOUR NEW NORMAL. God DID really make promises over your life despite how it looks. After the rain Noah sent out a raven before the dove. “...and sent out a raven, and it kept flying back and forth until the water had dried up from the earth. Then he sent out a dove to see if the water had receded from the surface of the ground.” Genesis‬ ‭8:7-8‬ ‭NIV‬‬. Jesus battle the first two tests and STILL had a third temptation. Sometimes it is NOT the first try that brings the breakthrough!! That does NOT mean it's not coming or to give up. Spend time in the secret place. Let go of worry and release PEACE (your "dove" over the floor) and take courage and joy in the waiting. Hold to God's words. It won't be forever.
