You are made from DUST. The Hebrew word for dust, aphar, holds many meanings including ashes, soil, and rubble. Ashes is what remains after something has been through the fire. Soil is combination of decomposing materials and pieces of rocks worn into dirt from years of erosion. Rubble brings to mind images of ruins in the aftermath of a disaster. All of these things are messy and not beautiful. Yet God brings mess and dirt together in an orderly and beautiful way. This is the very material God uses to CREATE. If you have been through the fire, if you are worn down from a period of pressure, if you have survived a spiritual storm or earthquake and feel like all that surrounds you is rubble then BE ENCOURAGED. This morning God was speaking about how He takes these messy, broken down, obliterated pieces and uses them to CREATE and GROW. He will brings the pieces together and breathe His breath of life on them transforming them beyond recognition. This is what He means when He tells you He is making all things new! This messy soil is where He is now sowing seeds that will bear MUCH fruit in your life in years to come. Embrace your mess! Don't let the ashes and rubble discourage you! This is a time of great anticipation in the spirit. We are "ready for creation"! "Then the LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being." Genesis 2:7
