Spiritual attacks are not always things that come against us but things that come alongside us. There are attacks happening right now that are slipping below the radar because instead of inciting (to defense) they are enticing (to agreement). This morning I was given an impression of a spiritual war waging for TRUST and FOCUS. The targets are some of the Lord's strongest warriors. Because the enemy knows he cannot defeat you, he settles for DISTRACTING you. The longer he can take our focus off what the Lord wants our focus on, the more likely we are to veer. The more he can tempt us to trust in something BEFORE trusting in the Lord, the less likely we are to take the next leap of faith on our journey. These messages have come in various ways, but the theme has been the same. Temptation to consult our logic before we consult God, temptation to consult our resources before we say yes to His callings, temptation to consult our EMOTIONS before we ask God's opinion. If you have been under these attacks, this word is for you! As these attacks are illuminated, the accusor wants you to feel guilty or like it is your fault you have been under attack. Hear me on this: God wants you to know He is NOT upset or disappointed in you! If you had a child or friend who fell into a trap, would you be mad at your child/friend or the one who set the trap? God is angry at the ways the enemy is attempting to distract His people, and He is calling His people to ready their bows and arrows!!! Each prayer, each declaration, each step in obedience is an arrow at the enemy. It is time to stop questioning and start fighting back, as a wave of clarity will begin to reveal these distractions for what they really are. Begin praying for and receiving this breaking off of confusion and standing firm in the Lord, seeking Him FIRST. God is mighty to set us back on course, redeem His temple (You!), and stop sowing or reaping things that are mere distractions. “'Take up your positions around Babylon, all you who draw the bow. Shoot at her! Spare no arrows, for she has sinned against the Lord. Cut off from Babylon the sower, and the reaper with his sickle at harvest. Because of the sword of the oppressor let everyone return to their own people, let everyone flee to their own land.” Jeremiah 50:14, 16 “Listen to the fugitives and refugees from Babylon declaring in Zion how the Lord our God has taken vengeance, vengeance for his temple.” Jeremiah 50:28 “Yet their Redeemer is strong; the Lord Almighty is his name. He will vigorously defend their cause so that he may bring rest to their land, but unrest to those who live in Babylon.” Jeremiah 50:34
