There are a few out there today who have hurting hearts over a choice. God has been speaking to you about standing strong. Particularly when others have gone another way. About taking a leap of faith by waiting for Him to come through IN THIS PLACE. There have been times you’ve longed to do other things, be with other people, call it quits and go in a different direction. Many would have given up, but these have stood. You are the REMNANT. The few that have pressed further despite discomfort in the times of pressing. Your walk will be a different path because you are called to something unique. Now there’s a weariness catching up to these people, and they are wondering what would happen if another wave of adversity were to fall...could they even take one more thing? I sense God saying “You know I part SEAS. Do not fear waves.” Because of the weariness there is a temptation to return to an easier place or take an easier path. It looks good and easy but isn’t. If this is you, hear this: “‘If you stay in this land, I will build you up and not tear you down; I will plant you and not uproot you...Do not be afraid of the king of Babylon, whom you now fear. Do not be afraid of him, declares the LORD, for I am with you and will save you and deliver you from his hands. I will show you compassion so that he will have compassion on you and restore you to your land.’ “However, if you say, ‘We will not stay in this land,’ and so disobey the LORD your God, and if you say, ‘No, we will go and live in Egypt, where we will not see war or hear the trumpet or be hungry for bread,’ then hear the word of the LORD, you remnant of Judah. This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says If you are determined to go to Egypt and you do go to settle there,” Jeremiah 42:10-15 I feel God saying to this precious, tough remnant, “Don’t go back. Don’t “settle” there in the ways of the past. Stay right here in the pressure, and hold on to Me because I am redeeming all that has happened. You may feel strung along by the wait, but the lack of clarity and the fears vanish when focusing on Me. Straight lines are faster than circles. Don’t circle in the wilderness but follow me straight through the sea of adversity. Know you’re not alone. I will go wherever you go. Look to the pressure as a sign of the times. It means things are happening, progressing, and this hard season is drawing to a close! You have been at a similar crossroads before. Don’t choose safety, but go further with me. It’s easy to go back to what you know, but you don’t know what I know and the depths of the goodness I have for you!” It’s a time of teaching and training on new levels. God often calls teaching discipline just as He called His students disciples. This teaching is hard, but we have His WORD it will be worth it. Just as harvests satisfy our needs and hunger, so will God satisfy our needs and hunger if we follow His leading: “No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a HARVEST of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.” Hebrews 12:11
