Vagabonds

There is so much loving vulnerability in God's heart as He asks you not to quit. He has weathered a thousand turning aways from His people, and He gently whispers to stay. His love is UNFAILING. He isn't quitting on you. He's hoping you won't quit on His calling either. God gave me a word this morning that really made me think. "It's a long road to wisdom, but a short one to adversity". You don't have to walk far in the direction of your calling to encounter adversities. Some are feeling wearied now, saying "But I've been through this and this and this...don't I deserve my breakthrough??". Don't lose sight of GRACE. God KNOWS what you've been through, but WE DO NOT MARK OUR PROGRESS BY WHAT WE'VE WEATHERED. God is not a God of earning our salvations or callings. They are a gift of grace. But high callings come with high conflict, and it's a fight that goes with the glory. REST in that you don't have to earn your breakthrough. Don't let yourself become weary in fighting. We are spiritual VAGABONDS. Our calling is to not settle. To not get to a place where we've come far enough and will go no more. It's an everlasting journey and ever lasting adventure, because the kingdom of God is always expanding. Hear God saying "Don't give up". Jesus replied, "Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head." Luke 9:58 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9
