Don't Carry- Be Carried

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11:28‬ ‭ "As we keep climbing higher, are you exhausting yourself carrying things or are you letting carry you? The first time we attempt a more difficult level. The first time we take another step out of our comfort zone. It's a time of testing. Will we turn back or let me help you rise up?" “Bel bows down, Nebo stoops low; their idols are borne by beasts of burden. The images that are carried about are burdensome, a burden for the weary.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭46:1‬ ‭ Often times idols can be hard to identify. Yesterday the Lord began to speak to me through Isaiah 46. He speaks of the idols our ancestors held as BURDENS. They weighed on them. They were things that they carried with them. Then in contrast, the Lord says that when it comes to taking Him with us, unlike any other idol, HE carries US. HE refreshes US. If something is running you ragged, adjust your load from carrying to being carried. ““Listen to me, you descendants of Jacob, all the remnant of the people of Israel, you whom I have upheld since your birth, and have carried since you were born. Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭46:3-4
