Give Me What Tugs At Your Heartstrings

The Lord says, “Bring Me your best. Not your leftovers. Do not bring me a partial heart or a double mind because I require all of you. All that you think of as defective about yourself are actually the parts that I desire most for you to give to me. These messy pieces are the pieces I will most use in ministry to you and even to the world. Do not offer yourself to me in such a way that you barely notice the offering. Offer me what is hard to offer. Offer me that which holds strings straight to your heart.” In a vision I see a heart with strings attached like a marionette. Each string is attached to a precious piece treasure. The owner of the heart wants so badly to hold on tightly to the treasure because not giving those things up means retaining full control. When the person finally gives the treasures over to the giant hands of the Lord, they also give over complete control of their heartstrings, no longer vulnerable to the pulls of the world but safely in the hands of God. As the person starts to walk away, having given up all that is meaningful, the Lord calls to stop. He motions to come to His hands which are big enough to crawl into. He says, “Stay in My hands. With your heart. With all that you treasure. I never wanted you to live without a heart or without the things that are dear to you, sacrificing desire and happiness in the name of piety. Instead I want to bring you close, win your willful trust, and safeguard your heart from being manipulated and your treasures from being stolen”. The enemy whispers rumors of spiritual famine. The enemy says, 'Have your fill before the rug is taken out from underneath you'. I say instead to give all to me first, and I will overpower you with blessing so much that your feet will dance. GIVE ME ALL OF YOU.”. “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the glory of Christ” (2 Corinthians 4:4)... “Let your light shine out of darkness” (2 Corinthians 4:6). If God has not asked you to do something wildly out of your comfort zone or something that those without faith would deem as senseless, then get ready. He will. He never promised that what He asked of us would be painless or easy, but He did promise abundant blessing waits on the other side of obedience to these callings. Each story of what God did when you trusted something precious to Him then becomes our testimonies- our lights- to a world of darkness. If you've trusted something precious to Him and haven't seen anything good come from it yet, your story is not over, for God promises “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, And do not return there without watering the earth And making it bear and sprout, And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. For you will go out with joy And be led forth with peace; The mountains and the hills will break forth into shouts of joy before you, And all the trees of the field will clap their hands.…” Isaiah 55:10-12 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3WPbs7N-E0Q
