Some of you have just come out of or are currently in a season which you have literally described as “having your world turned upside down”. Things have happened that you don't know the reasons for and cannot explain. This process has been scary and uncomfortable, and at times you have wondered if the emotions and pressure of it all would crush you. To these God says, “I am not breaking you. I am washing you.”
To thoroughly clean something, it must be submerged, flipped over, and wiped clean. “Without the perspective of what I am doing, this seems chaotic and scary. I am giving you eyes to see. You will gain more of my heavenly perspective to see that this process is cleaning your life to prepare it to receive the satisfying portion I have for the next season. Just as a plate must be thoroughly cleaned before it can receive the next meal, so are you being prepared. I will not drop you. I will not chip you. I will not let you be cracked or thrown away. I will only tenderly clean you, as a potter tenderly cleans the vessels He has hand-crafted. Do not despise that you are going through this process, but get excited because if I am washing you then I have chosen you to be prepared to receive something NEW and GOOD. You would not wash a plate if you were going to put dirt on it. You only wash a plate when you are going to put GOOD food on it. I am going to satisfy you with GOOD things. You will taste and see in the upcoming season. All you need to do is trust yourself to My hands”. "After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him. He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, 'Lord, are you going to wash my feet?' Jesus replied, 'You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.' 'No,' said Peter, 'you shall never wash my feet.' Jesus answered, 'Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.' John 13:5-8
