It Is Time Once Again

The theme of eclipse has been popping up everywhere- in songs, words, pictures- and has caught my attention. Each time, I noticed, it has specifically been a SOLAR eclipse. In my time with God this morning, there it was again! A giant sun darkened by eclipse as the cover art for a song that came on. A burning inside told me that there was more to this God was inviting me to pursue. I began to look up information about solar eclipses, and my heart quickened as I discovered a solar eclipse is about to take place on August 21st, 2017. I began reading on NASA's website about this event. The full eclipse will be visible in a path that spans fourteen states from the Oregon shores to Charleston, South Carolina, but even those not in this line will still be able to see the eclipse as far away as South America, Africa, and Europe. This is a global event, the epicenter of which cuts right through the heart of the US. Reading on, the moon will pass between the sun and the earth “for up to about three hours from beginning to end”, though any given location will see the eclipse for between two and three minutes. Immediately I remembered another very famous time in which the sun was darkened for three hours. In Mark 15:33 it recalls that “from the sixth hour until the ninth hour darkness came over all the land”. At that point Jesus is nearing His death on the cross and begins quoting Psalm 22 which many know as a psalm of lament and anguish, but listen and HEAR the promises Jesus speaks in this time of darkness: All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him, for dominion belongs to the Lord and he rules over the nations. All the rich of the earth will feast and worship; all who go down to the dust will kneel before him— those who cannot keep themselves alive. Posterity will serve him; future generations will be told about the Lord. They will proclaim his righteousness, declaring to a people yet unborn: He has done it! Psalm 22:27-31 This is the declaration God is making over this new spiritual era we are entering. After speaking these things, Jesus died and the veil was torn, ushering in an era of increased intimacy between God and all people- even those who had previously felt excluded by religion. Just as then, God is now bringing an entirely new wave of people in to a place of greater intimacy and connectedness with Him and His body. The death came before the resurrection, and there is a great resurrection of old promises and callings about to take place. The brightness of the eclipse is so great that you cannot even look at it directly. “So shall be the brightness of my glory in this coming movement” the Lord said. Reading further I discovered a solar eclipse has not occurred since 1979. Prior to getting the message about eclipse, the Lord had been drawing my attention the theme of “blasts from the past” in my life and those around me. There has been an increase in instances of “I haven't seen that in years!” or “I feel like I'm going back in time”. I have had recurrent dreams that have taken place years- even decades in the past. The meaning had not yet been revealed to me, so I had just pondered this theme in my heart for weeks. I felt the Lord unfolding this eclipse sign as another layer... as if the Lord was saying there was something from 1979 that He was going to bring to the now. I still had no idea what. I began to ask God to bring to light the significance of this and continued to search. Then God led me to an amazing discovery. In 1979, the last time there was an eclipse like this, the famous prophet Bob Jones received a powerful vision I am about to describe (full vision can be found on bobjones.org). God is resurrecting this word for such a time as this! In this vision he describes seeing the Lord on the beach which was called the “sands of time”. Great prophets and apostles and martyrs were reaching into the sands of time and fishing out shoe boxes that looked empty. He heard them ask if it was time for the promises, but the boxes remained empty. Then Bob Jones, prompted by the Lord, reached down in the sand to pull up his box. Instead of being empty, it was filled with white envelopes containing notices that said “Greetings, you have been inducted into the Army of God”. He was then instructed to wait to send the letters until postage cost 20 cents. In October of 1981, Bob released that “Everyone that was conceived, that was in the womb, or nine months prior was literally the army of God” called to be leaders and form the greatest army that nothing could ever stop. They were to be activated at maturity (30 years later) in 2011. In August of 2015, Bonnie Jones reported an amazing vision she had of the Lord on the beach, holding these same sands of time in an hourglass. As she watched, He turned the sands upside down and told her it was “time to begin”. She immediately recounted her husband's word from 1979. There had been (from the 2011 activation and her word in 2015) a three and a half year period of “sifting to determine who would remain faithful for the Lord”. Having no knowledge of either of these words, I had received a word of my own from the Lord in August of 2015 that the Lord was beginning a three year process. He spoke that for the first two years His people will fight to take ground against those whose defenses are built up and hearts are hardened against God and His love. I saw people trying desperately to win over hearts for the Lord and being met with high resistance. Charging down a spiritual battle field and attempting to scale walls of fortresses and strongholds of people that were called to be the Lord's but had been captured by the enemy. They fought hard but had no success. The battle just raged on. The Lord spoke firmly, however, that “in the third year, they will turn and fight with you”. This August marks the beginning of the third year since I received this word. It is a year in which those who have been fighting and have not quit through the sifting will see the breakdown of the fortresses of the strongholds of the enemy, and those who have been resisting the heart of God will be won over and will fight alongside them! God is again sending out new invitations to the army of the Lord, and it is a great victory and gain for the entire body! I believe the Lord is beginning a new phase in which He is both promoting the faithful soldiers who have been diligently fighting who will see their breakthrough, as well as a time in which He is winning the resistant hearts and calling into the army of God another wave of troops to tell future generations through powerful wonders and testimonies that “He has done it!” (Psalm 22:31). It is time once again! A rare recurrence of what occurred then is happening beginning this August!
