7/11

All day the date has felt significant. Heavy with a purpose I couldn't discern. I kept feeling in my spirit Isaiah 65:24 "Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear". As I went about my day, the feeling increased. "Call out, call out, call out! Even though I know your words before they even pass your lips, call out still!! Ask Me, and I will answer!" I began to do a little digging about today's date. A Holy treasure hunt of sorts. In Strongs concordance, 711 corresponds with the Greek name Aristoboulos meaning "best-counseling". We know the Holy Spirit is our Counselor, and today is a day to seek that wisdom! In 1 Chronicles 14 a king tasked David with building a house for him, but he didn't just leave him with that. He sent David messengers and provisions . I feel the Lord saying He has tasked you with something, and He is sending what you'll need to complete it! The Lord says, "Look for my messengers! Look for my provision! I'm sending you what you will need to achieve what I have called you to!" Then the philistines came to attack David. When we are doing something big for God is often when attacks come. BUT the philistines did not prevail against David BECAUSE David sought the counsel of the Lord. At every battle He asked the Lord what he should do, and he did it! As a result he conquered every obstacle that threatened him. God's direction is crucial! It is time to seek. In my reading today I ran across (of all things) Isaiah 7:11 (7/11!). Ask you a sign of the LORD your God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above. This sent chills through me. God longs to be heard by us!! He doesn't always speak how we expect, but His messages are all around us. Look for His signs! He is giving you direction! Some reading this may be too scared to ask for a sign- just as Ahaz was when Isaiah spoke Isaiah 7:11 to him. His response was "I will not ask; I will not put the Lord to the test." To this Isaiah responds with the biggest fulfilled prophecy we know. The prophecy of Jesus. The ultimate sign. So to those too disappointed by past outcomes or too heart broken to hope for a sign or too nervous to ask anything of God- ask. He is waiting to answer!
